The 2016 Gear of the Year Awards finalists

Below are the shortlists for the Gear of the Year 2016 that were compiled by our team of judges: Chris Townsend, Emily Rodway, Judy Armstrong, Mike Parsons and Will Renwick. Over the next few weeks these judges will decide which product/brand from each category is most worthy of recognition and the winners will then be revealed at the annual Great Outdoors Awards ceremony in Kendal on 16 November.
At the awards we’ll also reveal the winners in the reader voted categories: ‘Best Pub’, ‘Best Brand’, ‘Best Book’ and more. Click here to view the shortlists and vote in the reader voted categories (voting closes 10 November).
