Tread Lite makes a large range of ultralight backpacking accessories by hand in the UK, mostly from Cuben Fiber and Dyneema X Grid fabrics. The range includes cook pot bags for a wide range of different pots, including ones from Alpkit, Evernew, MSR and Snow Peak. These are available insulated and non-insulated and with drawcord or zip closures. There are bags for Jetboil and MSR heat exchanger stove and pot models too.
For rucksacks there’s a range of pockets designed to fit on side straps, hipbelts, shoulder straps and on the chest. The company makes a range of stuffsacks in different sizes for inside the pack too, plus a Zipped Food Cell made from silnylon that will hold six days’ food. I really like the look of this!
I also like the range of ultralight wallets. A 6.9g wallet with six card slots and a note slot sounds amazing.
Tread Lite Gear is available direct from Tread Lite and also from an eBay page: stores/ebay.co.uk/Tread-Lite-Gear.

Tested: Tread Lite Cuben Fiber LED Lantern

£8.99 / 8g
I have used one Tread Lite product, the Ultralight Cuben Fiber LED Lantern. This weighs just 8 grams and yet gives enough light for reading and tent life. It consists of a tiny Cuben Fibre bag with and LED inside plus two CR2016 button cell batteries. The light has a hanging cord and hook. I think it’s excellent. The only problem is keeping track of it as it’s so tiny.
