The TGO Challenge Photo Competition judges have selected a shortlist – now it’s time for you to pick the winners.

As part of this year’s Virtual TGO Challenge, Challengers past and present were invited to take part in a photo competition. Themes included sunrises and sunsets, flora and fauna, and weather – but any photo was admissible provided it had some kind of relevance to the Challenge.

It wasn’t an easy job for the judges whittling down nearly 200 entries, but here they are – arranged in a (roughly) west to east order, so you get another chance to travel across Scotland.

To vote please email Sue & Ali, TGO Challenge Coordinators at newtonmorehostel@gmail.com with your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choices by the end of Monday 25th May.  There will also be a judges choice prize.

Thank-you again to Ultralight Outdoor Gear and Kelsey Media for the prizes which you can see here.

Make indoor time better with The Great Outdoors

During the lockdown, we’re continuing to work (from home!) to make a magazine that will help you keep your outdoor spirit alive. Even though you can’t go physically go to the hills and mountains, we aim to take you there with our words and images, and perhaps conjure some of the feelings they inspire.

To show our readers our gratitude for their support at this time, current subscribers have had their subscriptions upgraded to include free access to the digital edition of the magazine.

To give you some great reading material for these indoor days, we’re also offering new readers:

Stay home, stay safe, and see you on the hills when the day comes!
