These boots bridge the gap between very flexible and flexible with only a little more force required to bend them than with very flexible walking boots. The weight is in between the very flexible boots and the ones that are a little stiffer too. I’d say this makes these boots good all rounders. They are laterally stiff and the sole has a deep tread for a good grip. There are hard heel and toe bumpers and firm reinforcements for the mesh uppers. The fit is just wide enough for me, the snug fit preventing any heel lift. The inners are well-cushioned with memory foam, which returns to its shape after compression. I suspect this foam, combined with the Gore-Tex membrane, might make them quite hot in summer. The price is slightly higher than many alternatives but the quality and design are good.
