This is the lowest cost axe in our December 2014 ice axe review and one that is fine for hillwalking. It’s a fair bit heavier than the Petzl Snowalker but £15 less in price. In other respects it’s a similar axe, designed more for mountain walking rather than technical climbing. It comes in a good range of lengths, including 80cm, and has an easy to use sliding leash. If the weight doesn’t matter the CAMP Neve is a good choice.
