Craghoppers says this top is for winter pursuits and it’s certainly quite warm whilst still removing moisture from the skin fairly quickly. The fabric is a basic wicking polyester without an antimicrobial treatment. After a day’s exercise it does start to smell a little. This vanished after washing. It might well be okay for a couple of days but overall it’s probably best if it can be washed after each day’s wear, especially as the recommended wash temperature is 30ºC, which might not be hot enough to remove strong smells. The fabric is soft and feels comfortable against the skin. The high collar is snug and the short zip allows ventilation. The thumb loops are useful in cold weather for keeping the wrists and the backs of the hands warm. The side and shoulder seams are offset. The cost is low, far less than any other zip neck top, making the Haru Half-Zip worth considering.
