The Mira jacket from Swedish brand Didriksons – quickly making it into the UK market – is a good quality, warm and simple midlayer. It’s made from a really stretchy polyester that is brushed on the inside (and super comfy) and smooth on the outside (a bit shiny for my liking, but that an aesthetic thing!).

There are two hand pockets with a mesh liner – I’ve used it for ventilation when a little warm, and a small hest pocket that is big enough for an iPhone and the obligatory hole for headphones. In fact I’ve worn it running in the cold and it performed well – it’s quick drying and absorbed the sweat well enough not to feel cold.

There are good thumbholes with extra stretch around them. The collar is quite low and comfortable. In short, a simple jacket for chilly days.
