Daniel Neilson tests a host of breathable jackets that will stand up against the wind. On test Arc’Teryx Squamish Hoody Jacket

The Arc’Teryx Incendo Hoody has been my go to windshirt for running for a while. It’s really well detailed and designed. The Squamish hoody is slightly sturdier (although still only 157g). The hood is really good but the volume adjuster cord sits just beneath the ears and felt a little uncomfortable at first. There’s a little peak on it too. The zip fastens underneath the chin, as opposed to over it – it’s a matter of preference. I particularly like the Velcro cuffs because they allow in more ventilation than elasticated ones. There’s one chest pocket big enough for a phone and a snack.
