The first ever Snowdonia Outdoor Festival comes to Bala this summer


Snowdonia Outdoor Festival has revealed details of the line-up for its premier event, with a programme including outdoor activities, sports events, camping, and live music.
Multi-million selling acts the Lightning Seeds, Scouting for Girls and Toploader have all been confirmed to play at the festival, which will run from 11-13 August on the banks of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) in Gwynedd.
Activities will includes hikes and gorge walks for all ages and abilities, 5K, 10K and 30K trail runs, and road and mountain biking events. Water activities will also feature prominently, with opportunities for rafting and raft building, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing and kayaking, and two open water swimming events on Bala Lake.

These sporting events will all start and finish at the Festival Village and there will be activities and showcases on-site, including climbing walls, a ‘free fall’ airbag, speakers, exhibitors and retailers, and food and drink.
Launched by the team behind Keswick Mountain Festival, the inaugural Snowdonia Outdoor Festival will replicate some of the most popular elements of the Cumbrian event. It’s expected to attract around 10,000 visitors over the weekend.
