I found these extremely comfortable. That wins points in my book as I believe comfort is the most important consideration with all outdoor gear. The trousers are lined for comfort – good job, as the rubbery PU coating, exposed inside the thigh pocket, wouldn’t be at all comfortable against the skin – but they’re pretty cool when worn (unlike, say, the micro-fleece-lined Craghoppers model). The hand and rear pockets have mesh linings, which should help with ventilation when necessary. The pockets are all pleasingly spacious though the thigh pocket’s vertical opening renders it, for me at least, a tad impractical.

Cut and therefore movement are very good – I experienced no restrictions and would happily scramble in these trousers. They share the stretch-quality and very slight Latex-like feel of the Craghoppers pants – pinching the fabric is a bit like pinching a rubber balloon – the only, very marginal uncomfortable aspect.
