For fabric boots these Salomon Conquests are surprisingly solid with quite firm uppers. Cushioning is good and the sole grips well though it does clog up a little. The fit is on the narrow side, squeezing my toes. The toe and heel are solid. If you prefer fabric to leather the Conquests are okay outside of warm weather.
