Heavy, stiff and beautifully crafted one-piece leather boots, Hanwag Nazcats are good for cold weather use, especially in snow. The fit is fairly narrow – I can just wear them with thin socks. Cushioning and grip are both excellent. There’s a rubber rand right round the sole and hard toe and heel bumpers. Expensive but they should last well.
