Workwear specialists Dickies’ first hiking boot is low cost but has an odd fit. It flexes in the centre rather than across the forefoot and my feet soon became sore. The lining round the ankle feels rough on the skin too. The sole grips well and cushioning is ok. The heel and toe are rock-solid.
