Professor Terry Gifford, Sir Chris Bonnington and Catherine Destivelle give their thoughts on mountaineering. Then ‘Climbing as an Art’, sees Andy Kirkpatrick in conversation with Doug Scott; followed by Gwen Moffat and Claire-Jane Carter discussing their experiences climbing with Ben Ayers.

Several of the artists displaying their work at the festival will also give talks about their inspirations. Exhibitors include Julian Cooper and Hamish Fulton.

Throughout the festivities there will be a focus on Community Action Nepal and the work carried out by the organisation, offering vital emergency relief to natural disaster victims.
