Maria has travelled the world for more than 30 years, but has since 2018 found solitude in the high Arctic archipelago of Svalbard. She lives in Longyearbyen with her husband and two boys. She works as a freelance journalist, podcast host and author. She is passionate about the great outdoors, nature and people, but also interested in scientific research on topics such as technology, sustainability and climate change.
