Kate Armstrong is a writer based in London but always yearning to be in the hills, where she has 20 years' experience of backpacking and climbing. Her memoir about the interplay of mountains and mental health in her own life will be published by Chatto & Windus in January 2027. She writes a Substack newsletter called ‘Beyond the Mountain’.
