Chiz Dakin had to discover her mountain feet after she left home, having been banned from hillwalking (in the form of DofE expeditions) by overly cautious parents. She’s since had a few adventures in wild and remote parts of the world, including snow-shoeing and wild camping on the Patagonian Ice Cap and sea-kayaking on the Abel Tasman Trail in New Zealand. You’re most likely to find her in her nearest playground (the Peak District) or on other UK hills and coasts.
