Teva invented the sports sandal many years ago and has been one of the leaders in the field ever since. The Toachi 2 is one of the new models and is an excellent design, though on the expensive side. The cushioning is very good and there’s a shank that gives some side-to-side stiffness for support on rough ground. This shank curves up round the base of the straps to help hold these in position. The grip is fine on a wide variety of terrain including wet rocks. The sole is curved with a lip at the heel for foot protection.

The straps have plenty of adjustment and easily fit my wide feet. The snap buckle on the ankle strap makes getting the sandals on and off easy as there’s no need to open the Velcro but I do worry that it might break. The soft lining of the uppers feels fine against the skin.

When wet the sandals dry fast. Water is meant to drain through the midsole but I didn’t notice any difference with other synthetic sandals. Overall these are quality sandals that should last well.
