The Myon SL-2 is an ultralight bag with an excellent warmth to weight ratio. It packs away really small too and so is a good bag for lightweight backpacking. The design is fairly simple, to keep the weight down, but it has all the necessary features. The down fill has a silver treatment to stop it smelling after prolonged use. I must admit I’ve never found this a problem with down bags as long as I can air them every so often. Salewa also says that this treatment has the advantage that it “removes the need for two stages of chemical dipping and thus reduces the negative impact on the environment”. The silverized down doesn’t feel any different to standard down.

The shell is very thin and soft and drapes well round the body. The fit is quite close, making this another bag that you turn with rather than in. The loft is the same on the top and the base so it doesn’t matter which ends up above you. There are side walls to stop the down being compressed and to provide a little more room inside.
