I know what you’re thinking, but let’s ignore that for now. This is a very good tool as you’d expect from Gerber. It’s one of the largest multitools Gerber make and has 12 components. The needle-nose pliers are sprung – essential for one-handed use. There are two blades, one with a fine edge and one serrated, both 4.8cm. There’s also a can opener, screwdrivers, bottle opener, scissors, and a rather superfluous saw and wire cutter. The scissors are sprung with a small wire that didn’t always work, and I found them a little too short. All the tools lock and can be folded back after pulling a simple mechanism with the left or right hand. The grip is good. Overall, this is a well-designed multitool with all you’d need, and I can vouch for its sturdiness – I, ahem, lost it on the allotment outdoors for four months and it’s almost as good as new. Comes with a carry case.
