Now in its fourth year, the Women’s Adventure Expo 2018 is set to be bigger and better than before with over 350 tickets available.
The WAExpo is back with a programme of main stage talks, workshops and inspirational stories for those interested in getting active and into adventure. The 2018 event will take place at We The Curious in Bristol’s Millennium Square on 6 October 2018.
The event attracts a wide range of visitors from across the UK, and is perfect for anyone interested in hearing from some of the world’s leading female adventurers, finding inspiration and resources for their own adventure aspirations, or just looking for ideas to get active outdoors.
Travel writer Dervla Murphy will be the headline speaker for this year’s event. Dervla Murphy has written over 20 travel books, cycled from Ireland to India, and been described as a travel legend. Other exciting names joining Dervla on the main stage include Rio Paralympian Mel Nicolls, travel writer and adventurer Antonia Bolingbroke-Kent, 5-times Irish National Surf Champion Easkey Britton (TBC) and adventuring environmentalist Kate Rawles. Exhibiting spaces are still open for companies looking for an opportunity to reach a wide audience of intrepid women (and men!).
Other events this year include new event Adventure and Wellbeing (Friday 5 October at Watershed from 13.30-17.00) and Shextreme Film Festival, taking place at new venue the Loco Klub in Bristol. Anyone attending these events will be able to get a discount on a standard ticket to WAExpo 2018. There will also be a programme of activities on Sunday 6 October to be unveiled in September.
Standard tickets are £40 and are available on the Women’s Adventure Expo website.
