Alec Finlay is an artist and poet whose work crosses over a range of media and forms. He is particularly concerned with how we relate to landscape and ecology. Since 2019 he has been running ‘day of access’, a project creating innovative models of access to wild nature for the vulnerable and people with constrained walking. Alec's recent books include The Walkative Revolution (2025), Not Sealions but Lions by the Sea (2025), and I remember (2022) for Scotland’s Covid Memorial.
