About
A regular contributor to The Great Outdoors as feature writer and photographer, Andy has worked across outdoor and consumer titles since 2009, as well as being a news agency journalist, TV news producer and Royal Air Force officer.
He’s been a keen hiker and hillwalker since his childhood and has hiked, photographed and written his way across Britain via the Pennine Way, Cape Wrath Trail, South Downs Way and Cotswold Way. Overseas trails include Nepal’s Annapurna Circuit, the Kungsleden in Swedish Lapland, and shorter multi-day hikes in Japan, Guatemala, Canada, Switzerland and France. Away from writing he is a Scouts leader responsible for a Cubs pack, where he hopes to encourage young people to find a love of adventure and nature. He lives in the Cotswolds, where he enjoys hiking, trail running, mountain biking and walking his much-photographed cocker spaniel, Loki.
