New for winter 2017, a lightweight and breathable fleece treated with Polygiene’s permanent anti-odour technology
The Ortles Cubic Baselayer is available for men and women and is designed to provide high warmth without the weight. Salewa say:
“Aptly named after the highest mountain in the Eastern Alps outside the Bernina Range, the Ortles Cubic is ideal for mountaineering, ski mountaineering and general mountain activities.  Made from Polarlite fabric, which quickly pulls moisture away from the body, it is comfortable when worn next to skin thanks to its soft construction and flat-lock, non-irritating seams.
“Its athletic fit, 4-way stretch fabric and ergonomically shaped sleeves give full freedom of movement whether worn as part of a layering system or on its own.
“For longer trips the Polygiene silver salt treatment, taken from recycled silver, comes into its own, as Mother Nature’s way of stopping bacterial growth at source so you’ll remain odour-free.
“Polygiene’s technology is permanently integrated during the finishing stages of textile production. It won’t wash out and doesn’t interfere with the skin’s natural bacteria.  The odour control lasts beyond the usual life span of the garment so you won’t need to throw it away early due to over washing or a smell you just can’t get out.  Plus you can save time and energy on washing as the treatment allows you to ‘wear more, wash less’.”
